R-Comp Interactive (RCI) specialises in hardware solutions for RiscOS, and the software to support them. With a particular expertise in networking and audio, backed up by a wealth of practical experience, RCI also offers design, consultancy, installation and support in these areas.
We place particular emphasis on networking and related peripherals for both RISC OS and other platforms. We are one of the main suppliers of RISC OS compatible broadband hardware and software, network cards, cabling, switches and routers. Our Network Printer Driver software supports this, and we also sell Network Print Server boxes to go along with this. Our UniPrint product allows almost any printer to be used on from RISC OS via a networked Windows box, or on the same machine if VirtualAcorn is being used.
Our work in networking led to the launch of our SpaceCube shoebox computers, which could be controlled via our Remote Control software,
and run UniPrint etc. These evolved into our hugely popular RISCube range of computers, which bring together our experience of both
RISC OS and Windows, to deliver a highly engineered product, emphasising performance, reliability and low noise.
From the late 90s onwards, RCI's sound and music expertise has lead us into supporting the RiscOS leisure market. This occurred as the logical progression of the hugely popular PCSound Professional product - originally designed to give high quality sound and MIDI (both input and output) to Acorn PC card users wishing to use serious PC-based multimedia tools.
